One-on-one SAT prep and college essay coaching — online, and built around your student rather than a script. I scored a 1560 doing exactly this, and the method is the part I teach.
01 — The Approach
The score is not a measure of how smart they are. It’s a measure of how well they know one specific test — which is good news, because tests can be learned.
I’ve worked with students who were sure they were “just bad at standardized tests,” and who improved a lot once they stopped studying harder and started studying the test itself — its patterns, its traps, its favorite question types.
That’s the whole shift. The SAT reuses a finite set of ideas in a finite set of disguises. Once a student can name what a question is really asking, the panic drops out of it and the points follow.
We talk through where your child is now, what they’re aiming at, and whether I’m the right fit. No cost, no obligation.
The approach that clicks for one kid doesn’t always work for another. I build the lesson plan around the individual student.
Sessions target the specific question types costing them points — then the habits that keep those points on test day.

The summer before senior year is one of the most important stretches of the whole application process. I’ve watched too many students fall behind simply because they started too late.

04 — About
I’m a recent graduate of Rock Ridge High School and the Academies of Loudoun. This fall I’ll be attending Georgetown University to study economics, after also receiving acceptance letters from UC Berkeley, UVA, UNC and others.
I tutor the SAT with lesson plans built around the individual student. The approach that clicks for one kid doesn’t always work for another, so I pride myself on adapting how I teach to fit your child’s needs.
I also review college essays — and I’d rather start that conversation early than watch another strong student get squeezed by a deadline.
